The Santa Fe Project Center was created in 2009. Despite its small size, Santa Fe is a sophisticated, cosmopolitan and eclectic place where exciting opportunities for projects exist with Another, less-known feature of the Santa Fe area is the presence of some of the top scientists in the world, due to the proximity of the Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories and the prestigious Santa Fe Institute (SFI).

Since its founding, the Santa Fe Project Center center has collaborated with a variety of institutions, non-profits, government agencies and native american communities to address a number of issues impacting the lives of the citizens of Santa Fe and all of New Mexico. The projects with native communities often entail the application of science and technology in the context of traditional indigenous customs.
